If I am low income, how can I get inexpensive wi-fi?

Like any consumer product, there are many plans and price points for wi-fi. There are several resources for low income individuals or households. Typically in order to meet the low income standards, you must qualify for programs like the National School Lunch Program, housing assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and others. A secondary common criteria is for you not to have received internet services from the provider in the past 60 days. The cost is around $10/month and the application process is fairly straightforward. Consider whether there is coverage in the area and if the speed offered is sufficient for telehealth and whatever else your internet needs may be.
