OnTrackNY is an innovative treatment program for adolescents and young adults who have had unusual thoughts and behaviors, or who have started hearing or seeing things that others don’t. OnTrackNY helps people achieve their goals for school, work, and relationships. OnTrackNY has created a series of manuals for providers and organizations.

Team Manual – This manual describes the governing principles of the OnTrack team, the team’s activities, and approaches to treatment.

Medical Manual – This manual is designed to a reference for psychiatrists and nurse prescribers and for nurses providing care through OnTrackNY. It summarizes OnTrackNY’s approach to the safe and effective use of antipsychotic medication and support of individuals’ general health and wellbeing as they strive to achieve their goals.

Primary Clinician’s Manual – This manual is designed for the primary clinician, or team lead, of an OnTrackNY team. It describes their role, processes and procedures for treatment, and how to transition individuals out of the OnTrackNY program.

IPS Supported Education and Supported Employment Manual – This manual is informed by the EBP, Individual Placement and Support (IPS) that was developed by the Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center. It consists of two parts: 1) available resources for traditional IPS, including the core IPS Manual, and 2) a volume that provides focused discussion of supervision that is adapted to consumers with FEP.

Recovery Coach Manual – As a member of the CSC treatment team, the recovery coach will be involved to varying degrees of the service, but is the leader of the team in the domain of behavioral interventions and takes an especially active role in the family support domain. This manual outlines the RC’s role and explains the various activities they will pursue in detail, and provides outlines for specific intervention sessions.

Outreach and Recovery Manual – This manual provides an overview of methods that can be used to conduct strategic outreach. Subsections include tools for the Outreach and Recruitment team to use during the outreach process.

Peer Specialist Manual – This manual provides a guideline for peer specialists serving OnTrackNY programs. It provides information about OnTrackNY, the role of the peer specialist in the OnTrack team, information on outreach and engagement, and identification of needs.

Family Treatment and Resources Manual – This manual provides in-depth instruction regarding specific interventions to be used with participants and families around family-related goals for OnTrackNY. OnTrackNY family interventions for psychosis align with recommendations made by expert consensus.

Delivering Culturally Competent Care in FEP  – This guide focuses on how culture affects the care of individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis. It describes key concepts and principles, best practices, and case examples to allow consumers, families, and providers work together to implement culturally competent early intervention services to enhance recovery outcomes.

Treating Cognitive Health Manual – This manual helps clinicians identify underlying cognitive problems early in care so that clients can continue to remain active and engaged in their life roles and their pursuit of personal goals during OnTrackNY services.
