Assisted Outpatient Treatment Cost Study

This resource was approved by the SMI Adviser clinical expert team for inclusion in the knowledge base.

This report assesses the costs of the AOT program in Summit County Ohio. Cost savings were realized both during and after the period of outpatient commitment. The reduction was in large part a result of reduced hospitalizations. The cost study was commissioned by Treatment Advocacy Center. This is a downloadable item within SMI Adviser’s AOT Implementation Module 8: Overcoming Barriers to AOT Implementation.
