Partnership to Advance Assisted Outpatient Treatment

SMI Adviser and Treatment Advocacy Center (TAC) are partners in facilitating the national expansion of assisted outpatient treatment (AOT). TAC is dedicated to research on barriers to treatment and solutions that improve access to care for those with serious mental illness.

At this resource hub, you can download a foundational white paper on implementing AOT, access online training modules on establishing and maintaining successful AOT programs, and view other related resources.

This resources serve as an informational starting point for anyone interested in establishing or improving an AOT program in their community.

It aims to explain what AOT is and how it can benefit communities, provide a view into the variability of AOT programs, and identify practices considered promising for successful systematic implementation.
