What are key domains of concern when tailoring interventions for the American Indian/Alaskan Native populations?

SAMHSA has produced an excellent cultural awareness card that systematically reviews the key domains of concerns when tailoring or working with the AI/AN populations. It covers regional differences, cultural customs, spirituality, communication styles, the role of veterans and older adults, and health disparities.

Additionally, when working with this population you should consider reaching out to the National American Indian and Alaskan Native Mental Health Technical Transfer Center (MHTTC).
