How can people with serious mental illnesses better manage their chronic medical conditions and improve diet and physical activity?

A healthy diet and regular exercise can improve your physical and mental well-being. Set small, concrete, achievable goals that build your self-confidence and skills in managing your health. Consider enrolling in a program at your mental health or primary care clinic to help you develop and maintain these self management skills. Work with your providers to help you identify resources to better manage your health and medical conditions.
