Are community mental health providers screening for metabolic problems in their patients with serious mental illnesses?

You should be getting routine tests for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol. These may be available in the clinic where you receive mental health care; if not, you should be getting them from a primary care provider. Regardless of where you get the tests, you should make sure to share and discuss the results with your mental health provider.
