The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) provides training on the framework Zero Suicide, which is a systems approach to suicide prevention in health care by implementing comprehensive screening and assessment for individual with suicide risk. What training is recommended for those who are gatekeepers without clinical knowledge as well as clinicians in a practice setting?

It is recommended to start with the Zero Suicide training overview for all staff and clinicians. After this, tiers of training are provided to different staff and clinicians. Following this, appropriate clinicians would be trained on the various suicide screening tools and Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (all of which can be found on the SPRC website).
