This resource was selected by SMI Adviser content partners and approved by the SMI Adviser clinical expert team for inclusion in the knowledge base.

Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) is a team-based, recovery-oriented model that has been shown to have a positive impact on the outcomes of persons experiencing a First Episode of Psychosis.  As states and communities proceed to implement/expand this type of programming, it is important to consider the various roles that consumers/peers might play within this care model.  This webinar covers:  the benefits of peer involvement; ways in which new sites can be supportive of peer specialists; potential organizational barriers and how to navigate those challenges; specific examples of the ways in which peers have been involved in different CSC initiatives; and some common considerations/questions that sites may have.
