Today in 2019 there are no FDA approved smartphone apps for SMI, although there are clinical studies underway to see if apps may one day in the future be FDA approved.
In Fall 2017 the FDA did approve one smartphone app for alcohol use disorders and in 2018 extended this approval to opioid use disorders. Read the FDA News Release.
